no photobucket...this week will be words. more work on me but i don't mind!
i will be using the Osho Zen Tarot for this week. it's a recently purchased deck that i already love..i need to get to Know it though, and what better way to do that than.....
ok, i'll shut up and draw.
XVI. Thunderbolt (or XVI The Tower)
it was reversed..if it matters to you.
i've been going through the Tower for the last few days..now it's the card for the week. great.
XVI. The tower--to find a pic and an interpretation, simply go to my page and FF through the pics until you find it. click, and read what is beneath the picture of the card.
This is what the book of the Osho Zen says about what they call Thunderbolt:
"What meditation does slowly, slowly, a good shout of the master, unexpectedly, in the situation where the disciple was asking some question, and the master jumps and shous, or hits him, or throws him out of the door, or jumps over him...These methods were never known. It was purely the very creative genious of Ma Tzu, and he made many people enlightened.
Sometimes it looks so hilarious: he threw a man from the window, from a two-storey house, and the man had come to ask on what to meditate. And Ma Tzu not only threw him, he jumped after him, fell on him, sat on his chest, and he said, "Got it?!" And the poor fellow said, "Yes"--because if you say "No," he may beat you or do something else. It is enough - his body is fractured, and Ma Tzu, sitting on his chest says, "Got it?!"
And in fact he got it, because it was so sudden, out of the blue, he could never have conceived it."
i was really hoping for some comfort for the week.
i'll make it through. i'm learning that life itself can be so unpleasant. if i were alone, i'd be a cavewoman right now. lol
for the week of 3-15-09
are ya ready? i sure am...i think. lol! last week was rough and bumpy but i knew it was going to be like that because we had the tower's influence.
i loathe to even say the words of that card before doing the shuffling and cutting, etc for the week, not because it's a bad card, but the experiences that The Tower mirrors are unpleasant..definitely uncomfortable.
after bringing it up, i feel like i should wash my hands, and i will now.
it was drawn in reverse, for those of you who find that helpful. to me, if i recognize the reversal, it would tell me that it's going to be a mellow week. that is my impression of this card.
for this week, i'll be using another new deck...very pretty...called The Robin Wood Tarot.
i can only post the pictures of cards that i've colored for copyright reasons..but google it if you have free time and the interest..if you're curious.
have a good, uncomplicated, mellow week! we all need this after the confusion, upheaval...chaos-type feelings, etc. that The Tower brought to awareness last week. hopefully it was easy sailing for most of you! i know i'm still in one piece..somehow! lol!
i wasn't the only one who had a messy week. being aware helped me deal with it.
i wonder how all of your week has been?
cheers to a new week..new experiences.
...and happy Sundayyyy!
with my own personal experiences, The Magician, last weeks major influence, is unpleasant. that is only My experience.
he's tricky...i wish i could see all the magic and gloss that is supposed to come along with the Magician, but..as for my experience, i just wish him to be gone.
however, now we're dealing with The Devil. it did come in reverse, so avoiding temptation is the personal message to me..
....or, with the reversal, does it mean i should give into it?
giving into temptations i'm uncomfortable in doesn't appeal to me. i've set my boundries..
as for all of you, just keep your "moral noses" clean. good luck....
some associate this experience as Fun. it is Fun..temptation almost always is. but at what cost? i'd say it's time for you, me..everyone, to re-evaluate our own moral values. ...to think, with every decision, is this going to hurt me in the long run? more importantly, will my thoughts and decisions hurt another person in the long run?
i urge you to live by The Golden Rule this week. have fun, but keep it real...
interestingly, but not surprisingly, Osho has something very different to take into consideration"
XV. Conditioning
"Unless you drop your personality you will not be able to find your individuality. Individuality is given by existence; personality is imposed by the society. Personality is a social convenience.
Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. Individuality has the quality of the lion; the lion moves alone.
The sheep are always in the crowd, hoping that being in the crowd will feel cozy. Being in the crowd one feels more protected, secure. If somebody attacks, there is every possibility in a crowd to save yourself. But alone? - only the lions move alone.
And every one of you is born a lion, but the society goes on conditioning you, programming your mind as a sheep. It gives you a personaity, a cozy personality, nice, very convenient, very obedient.
Socity wants slaves, not people who are absolutely dedicated to freedom. Society wants slaves because all the vested interests want obedience."
