The Hermit reminds us of the value of being silent...of introspecting. he plunges himself in the dark...the unknown, and from other people.
we have all been through this in our lives before...the times when we just need to keep to ourselves until the problem or situation passes.
if one takes time to introspect and reflect, the self-induced lonliness....they can gain all sorts of insights and ideas. it's sort of like waking up from a deep slumber, and seeing things with new eyes.
we get hurt, confused...and we run into the Hermit. the message is usually quite clear. the bad times won't move forward until you do...and in order to get there, you must introspect, be the Hermit, and the answers will become very clear.
it's rather like an ostrich refusing to pull his head out of the sand.
can indicate futility and barrenness..
he allows us to ask ourselves about the strength in our abilities to face up to a situation, or bury our heads in the sand..remaining ignorant when the information is Right There.
now The Hermit brings loneliness and a cynical attitude toward life.
how am i personally going to hande this? stop being the hermit i was yesterday, and get out and about.
my step dad has a triple bypass today, this morning. i'll probably head up to the hospital.
sooo much walking on my crippled foot. i wonder how that's going to get done?
yesterday it was a day to keep to myself...perfect fo that. today, i need to do the opposite.
this isn't a reading for me...it's a directional card for everyone here. as i said...like a horoscope.
The Moon is very complex. it's going to be difficult to try to cover all aspects of the moon, but i'll try my best.
The Moon is the "in-between" in the dark. it's a source of light that helps us see somewhat, but there are many shadows at play..a lot can be hidden. the moon is a reminder of our states of consciousness. by saying it's the "in between," it also speaks of our psyche, our fears, our hope in times of darkness.
Intuitions, especially but not limited to women, are very prominent at this time.
The Moon encourages us to discover these intuitions, not by thought, but through dreams.
the basic message of The Moon is to wait it out..whatever is going on, right now isn't the appropriate time to know. answers can be known in time, but that time is not now.
instead, the moon encourages us to savour the night air..to take comfort in its solitude...in the unknown, knowing that the insights will come in time. to rest, and not worry. sometimes this can be difficult, and the moon is a strong reminder if one thinks about it.
The Moon is a piece of the earth, our guide in the sky to watch over us and keep us safe.
The Moon warns us of deception... hidden things that will come to light when the right time comes.
it can warn us of false friends, of false truths...the moon asks us to question things, but not by being paranoid. most of all, the moon asks us to relax, rest, dream, and not worry about the answers. intuitions will reveal them at the proper time.
This card represents a final decision as we are finalizing the cycle of life we know as the Major Arcana. a final decision, a final reward or punishment for our previous actions.
is this good or bad? it depends on what you've been doing...and the surrounding cards in a spread.
this is a time for figuring out end results. whereas many routes have been available, we are reduced to having only once choice now. this is a time for change, forward movement.
Judgement is an ingredient in resurrection or rebirth, and the alternative title of "The Angel" suggests that perfection can be achieved, the perfect outcome, for good or for ill.
Stones to work with:
Spinel
Kunzite
Color to work with: Red (associated with Wands, passion)
XVIII. The Moon (this was Friday's card as well..)

another aspect of the moon. cycles.
everything runs in cycles...the moon asks us to remind ourselves what cycle we are now in, and to think about all of the cycles that exist.
XIX. The Sun
The Sun is a very comforting card. some people disdain the sun because it gets too hot in the summer. this does not exclude me! we, as humans, take things for granted all the time. even when we're unaware...not meaning to. we still do.
...but to think more deeply about the sun, and what it does for life...how necessary it is for us, for the life in everything on Earth, brings deeper meaning.
the sun provides warmth. physical warmth...we appreciate the sun so much when we've been cold for too long. warmth as in comfort, reassurance.
the sun is the giver of life. it's obvious that no life could exists without the properties of the sun. the sun's light penetrates, giving us powerful energy. we are still scientifically clueless about the many life-giving and maintaining benefits of the sun. we do know that the sun, through skin absorption, is the main and almost sole source of vitamin D. this defeciency causes depression, among other health issues.
everyone needs to be in the sun for 15 minutes per day. for health reasons. statistics show that people who don't get that 15 minutes are generally depressed, unhealthy people.
the light of the sun makes things, colors and lines, look more crisp. we can see the intensity of colors. without the sun, there would be no color to look at..no color to life. darkness...sometimes the beauty of the sun literally has the ability to take our breath away.
the sun brings us new revelations and ideas. the energy of the sun guides us forward. it feels good, and it's the brightest energy possible.
Enjoy!
Stones to play with:
Gold Topaz: brings a strong sense of balance. it's a cleansing stone and natural amplifier of psychic energies. aids in feeling more confident. works with the crown chakra..the one on top of our heads, opening it up for intuitions, higher being, and enlightenment.opening the crown chakra helps us communicate with Creator.
Diamond: has projective energy. when used, often there is a very noticable increase in your spiritual connection. brings feeling of peace...helps with increasing sexual energy as well as your sense of physical well-being. confidence...in any persuit. when worn, the energy of diamond radiates its energy through you. because of the confidence, mental clarity is also increased.
i have to laugh at this..i'm sorry. guess what we got for today?
XI. Justice. it was reversed, actually.
Justice in reverse is the product of people acting unfairly toward each other. this happens all the time, every single day...people practice injustice.
unfairness, taken to the next level. by that, i mean that unfairness isn't as intense as injustice. the word Injustice has more punch to it than "unfairness." more power..
humans all need to keep theirselves balance. when we go off balance, injustice occurs.
perhaps this card is urging us to think about injustice, and how we could all flip this card over by being fair on all levels...to our best ability.
since i've covered the Justice card before..this being the third time it's shown up in such a short time, i understand that injustice is what causes all of the horrible things i see on the news.
we have the power to flip it over...make it Justice. it's just that some people abuse power. some people....many of them! it seems to be this little game human beings play, even in conversations, it seems like there is an underlying battle of power going on. ever read The Celestine Prophecy? it uses the words Intense over and over, and that got annoying, but they really talk deeply about that..about how people are constantly trying to "steal" power for others, to "up" their own power.
it's interesting to think about, and very true. when you pay attention, you see this goes on all the time. with any two or more people.
Stones to work with:
Tourmaline-- i suggest you look this one up...google it. the information i have on it is so vague, and it focuses on green, it being a money amplifier.
this doesn't apply..it's a complicated "stone" with many properties.
Opal--has both receptive and projective energies. due to its porosity, Opal is known to absorb energies as well as projecting them, thereby making it very easy to absorb other people's energies. regular cleansing of Opal is necessary because of this.
Opal contains a myriad of colors...but not always. i have a piece of Opal that is earthy brown. it is said to contain all the colors of the stones. it is said to aid in astral projection. placing opal near the head is said to open up "psychic" awareness. since i dislike the word "psychic," i will rename it "intuition." it opens up our own intuitive abilities. while wearing this stone, inner beauty is drawn forward to be appreciated by others. luck can be enhanced with Opal, but there is the dual energy...make sure in your Opal, the energy stays positive and clean. be cautious and use your highest intentions while working with Opal.
Sapphire--has very high vibrational energies. chakra:area from between the eyebrows to the top of the head (the "third eye chakra, and the "crown" chakra). this stone is calming, like a cool glass of water on a hot day..it increases all "psychic" abilities. aids in relaxation and feeling calm...urges to take the slow, measured approach.
Blue Topaz--works with the throat chakra (communication). it helps us be able to focus more deeply on a conversation...a communication..and helps us maintain balance in our communications. relieves communication blockages. it amplifies the personal power we contain within...aiding in communication. weak people simply don't have the ability to communicate effectively. it takes strength and assertiveness, but not taken to the extreme (stealing power in conversation, for example).
Color to work with: White--associated with the element of Air (intellect).
Rune association: Nyd (also known as Naudhiz, Not, or N...)
i'm swiping this from a book, putting it in quotes: "The words 'need' and 'necessity' are crossed on this rune. The crossed lines are those of two pieces of kindling wood. This wood starts the fire. It is the beginning of the knowledge of how to make fire. This rune binds us and restricts our actions. It asks us to become aware of our own thoughts and emot
also, optimism. things are looking bright for you, or they can be..
being filled with inspirations..faith. opportunities are full of promise, and the air is filled with promise for your future.
things are, or soon will feel uncomplicated and mellow.
far-sighted thinking..your plans for the future, become clear. the future is seeming desirable. feeling fulfilled....
getting back to what is basic..a cleansing of the self. a beautiful sense of humbleness in actions...grace and intelligence..your inner beauty and outer beauty are both exposed and appreciated by all.
Stones: Diamond: has projective energy. when used, often there is a very noticable increase in your spiritual connection. brings feeling of peace...helps with increasing sexual energy as well as your sense of physical well-being. confidence...in any persuit. when worn, the energy of diamond radiates its energy through you. because of the confidence, mental clarity is also increased.
Jade: interacts with the heart chakra..brings the ability to see the truth..jade connects you to the larger picture...and the network of energies found on a grand scale. enables you to correctly be an influence..a positive influence to situations that pertain to others, which do not involve you. a sense of tradition.
Amethyst: Amethyst is believed to work on all chakras in the body...
take a measured, slow approach to situations. it has a powerful calming effect, and it helps with sensing the energies of other people. Amethyst is a popular healing crystal...it calms any mental anxiety you may be feeling.
Garnet: associated with the base or root chakra (survival). gives energy to the physical self...revitalization. movement "stone." it gets the ball rolling..great for motivation and getting things started.
Color to work with: White (swords...air, lungs, breath)
Rune for the week: Eihwaz, or otherwise known as Eho, Eh, or E...
"This rune actually means "horse." Imagine its shape as linking different levels of reality. This is the confuit on which you can travel between degrees of joy and happiness. It also says that our journey on the earth is always filled with charged elements of peril. Even if current events don't look too promising, the simple presence of this rune says things can go well. Keep moving forward no matter what you may think is the danger."--The Compass Guide to the Quest Tarot, by Joseph Ernest Martin.
